MILITARY SPECIFICATION
SEMITRAILER, BOTTOM DUMP: 18 TO 22
CUBIC YARD CAPACITY, COMMERCIAL
This specification is approved for use by the US Army Tank-Automotive Materiel
Readiness Command, Department of the Army, and is available for use by all departments
and agencies of the Department of Defense.
1. SCOPE
1.1 Scope. This specification covers tandem axle, single and dual hopper, bottom dump
semitrailers with minimum struck capacities of 18 to 22 cubic yards. Semitrailers procured under
this specification are commercial items which shall be warranted by the manufacturer as specified
in procurement documents.
1.2 Classification. Semitrailers shall be of the types and sizes shown in table I, as
specified (see 6.2):
