MIL-S-63302(AR)
4.5.6 Functioning test of microminiature piston acutator.
Dwg. 9328715.
4.5.6.1 Resistance test.  The piston actuator shall be
assembled to an approved test fixture and subjected to the
resistance test specified on applicable drawing.  A milliohmmeter
with a test current of one milliamp or less shall be used.
Observation shall be made for compliance with the requirements of
the drawing.  (Non-destructive test)
4.5.6.2 Solderability test.  This test shall be performed in
accordance with METHOD 208 of MIL-STD-202.  Observation shall be
made for compliance with the requriements of the drawing.
(Non-destructive test)
4.5.6.3 No fire, all fire and output tests.  Immediately
following the resistance test of 4.5.6.1, the selected sample of
piston actuators shall be temperature conditioned, half at minus
60 - 5F and half at 160 + 5F for two (2) hours min.
and then shall be subjected to the no fire, all fire and output
tests specified on applicable drawing.  Observation shall be made
for compliance with the requirements of the drawing. (Destructive
test)
4.5.7 Spin tests.
4.5.7.1 Arming spin test of centrifugal locks. - Dwg's
9292700/9328756.  The S&A assembly shall be placed in an approved
fixture and spin machine and subjected to the arming speed
specified on the applicable drawing.  While at this RPM,
observation shall be made for compliance with the arming
requirements of the drawing.  With rotation stopped, observation
shall be made that both centrifugal locks have returned to their
safe position.  Any assembly failing this test shall be classed
defective and removed from the lot.
(Non-destructive test)
4.5.7.2 Non-arming spin test of centrifugal locks. - Dwg's
9292700/9328756.  Following 4.5.7.1, the same S&A assemblies
shall be subjected to the non-arming speed specified on the
applicable drawing.  While at this RPM, observation shall be made
for compliance with the non-arming requirement of the drawing.
With rotation stopped, verification shall be made that both locks
are in the safe position.  Any assembly failing this test shall
be classed defective and removed from the lot.
(Non-destructive
test)
