4.5.8 MDF assembly tests - Dwg. 9328723.

4.5.8.1 Output test of MDF assembly. The samples selected

shall be temperature conditioned, half at minus 60 -5F and

half at 160 +5F for two (2) hours min. The assembly shall

be subjected to the output test as specified in 3.3 within five

minutes after removal from the conditioning chamber. Observation

shall be made for compliance with requirements of 3.3. Witness

plate, 5/8 X 1 1/4 X 1 1/4 inches, shall be 2024-T351 aluminum

alloy bar (rolled drawn or cold finished) Federal Specification

QQ-A-225/6 having a Brinell Hardness of 120-130, HB 10/500/30.

No confinement of MDF Assembly shall be used. (Destructive test.)

4.5.8.2 Pull test of MDF assembly. The assembly shall be

placed in an approved fixture and the pull load applied as

specified on the applicable drawing. Observations shall be made

for compliance with the requirements of the drawing. Assemblies

subjected to this test shall not be returned to the lot.

4.5.9 Separation test of slider assembly - Dwg.

9329822-1,-2. The slider assembly shall be placed in an approved

fixture and the separation load applied as specified on the

applicable drawing. Observations shall be made for compliance

with the requirements of the drawing. Assemblies subjected to

this test shall not be returned to the lot.

(Destructive test)

4.5.10 Flexibility test of MDF, PBXN-5, lead sheathed - Dwg.

9328726. This test shall be performed in accordance with

MIL-C-50697. Observation shall be made for compliance with the

requirements of the Drawing-Note 3. Samples subjected to this

test shall not be returned to the lot but shall be used in 4.5.12.

4.5.11 Neutron radiog raphic examination.

4.5.11.1 MDF, PBXN-5 lead sheathed. Dwg. 9328726. The MDF

cord shall be subjected to neutron radiographic examination.

Observation shall be made for the requirements of the drawing -

Notes 4 and 5. (Non-destructive inspection)

4.5.11.2 MDF assembly. Dwg. 9328723. The MDF assembly shall

be subjected to neutron radiographic examination. Observation

shall be made for compliance with the requirements of the

drawing. (Non-destructive inspection)
