d.  BRS positioning accuracy.  The angular deviation in azimuth
and elevation between the angular position of the center of the
boresight reference symbol (BRS) and the ADL shall not exceed + 0.7
mr, one sigma, in each axis.
em  SMR positioning accuracy.  The angular deviation in azimuth
and elevation between the angular position of the center of the SMR
and the ADL shall not exceed + 0.7 mr, one sigma, in each axis.
f.  TOW coarse azimuth scale pointer accuracy.  The azimuth
angular deviation between the modified angular position (actual
azimuth angle in degrees, measured with respect to the ADL,
multiplied by 22,85) of the center of the scale pointer and the
commanded coarse azimuth input shall not exceed + 12 degrees.
3.4.2.6 Manual controls.
The HUDS shall have the following
manual controls on the front and side panels of the HUD).

3.4.2.6.2 ABC/brightness.  This control shall be a potentiometer
adjustment, and shall adjust the operating point of the automatic
brightness control subsystem.  The pilot shall also be able to
defeat ABC using a two position toggle switch.
3.4.2.6.3 Direct/indirect fire mode.  The HUD shall incorporate
a two position toggle switch which shall be a part of the HUD
controls for use in helicopter fire control circuits.
3.4.2.6.4 Power control.  The power control toggle switch on
the front panel shall have the following positions:

OFF - Operating
power
interrupted.
b.
STANDBY
- Partial
electrical
power
on,
no
symbols
displayed.
ON - All necessary power is
