MIL-S-85018A(AS)
3.4.7.1.1 Reduction in Erection Rate - Acceleration in either axis greater
than plus or minus .07g shall be used to initiate erection cutoff and timing per
3.4.1.
3.4.7.1.2 Manual Fast Erection - A momentary pushbutton shall be provided
that when depressed will result in the pitch and roll erection system reverting
to the fast erection rate.
3.4.7.2 Second Order Operation - The system shall be in a Velocity Damped
Second Order erection mode during the following conditions:
(l). The vertical gyro initial erection sequence has been
completed.
(2) Velocity reference input to the system is determined valid.
(3) The system is in the SLAVED or DG mode.
3.4.7.2.1 Lateral Acceleration - Roll erection shall be cut off for lateral
acceleration in excess of 1.89s.  Vertical drift in the roll axis due to earth
rate and mean gyro drift shall be compensated when in roll erection cutoff.
3.4.7.2.2 Longitudinal  Acceleration - Pitch erection shall be cut off for
longitudinal acceleration in excess of 1.8gs.  Vertical drift due to earth rate,
earth profile, and VG pitch drift shall be-compensated when in pitch erection
cutout.
3.4.8 Built-In-Test Equipment Capabilities (BITE) -
3.4.8.1 Fault Detection - Provisions shall be made for the detection of
equipment  malfunctions.  The built-in-test equipment shall be capable of de-
tecting a minimum of 85 percent of all equipment malfunctions.
3.4.8.2 Fault Isolation - The built-in-test equipment shall provide a
minimum of 85 percent probability of isolating a detected malfunction to the
faulty weapons replaceable assembly.
3.4.9 Compensation - Heading compensations shall be provided for index, one
cycle and two cycle errors.  The heading compensations shall be operative in the
SLAVED and EMERGENCY modes of operation.
3.4.9.1 Index Compensation - Adjustments shall be provided for all index
The adjustments shall remain where set.
compensation.
3.4.9.2 Single Cycle Compensation - Adjustments shall provide for single
cycle, EW and NS compensations.  The single cycle compensation shall be auto-
matically self-compensating with variations of the magnetic field intensity.
3.4.9.3 Two Cycle Compensation - The two cycle compensation shall be solid
state and shall require two adjustments to compensate.  One adjustment shall act
on cardinal heading errors and one adjustment shall act on intercardinal heading
errors.
