Warning - Warning placards or other precautionary labels,
as necessary, shall be so located and designed that the operator cannot fail to
notice them before any controls, valves or switches are operated, Warning pla-
cards shall be red with white engraved letters and constructed from laminated
phenolic sheet,
Mounting adapters - All mounting adapters and drive coupl-

ings shall be identified by a separate manufacturer's part number stamped on
each item.
Rotation - Directions of rotation on all components shall be

properly identified with arrows applied by engraving or other permanent method
of marking,
Workmanship - The test equipment, including all parts

and accessories, shall be constructed and finished such as to assure ability of
all equipment and components to meet their performance requirements under all
applicable service conditions. Particular attention shall be given to: neatness
of wiring; proper installation of tubing, hose, and fittings; thoroughness of weld-
ing, brazing, drilling, forming, riveting, and painting; alignment of parts;
tightness of screws and bolts; and freedom from defects, burrs, and sharp edges.

QUALITY ASSURANCE PROVISIONS
Responsibility for inspection - Unless otherwise specified

in the contract or purchase order, the supplier is responsible for the performance
of all inspection requirements as specified herein, Except as otherwise specified,
the supplier may utilize his own facilities or any commercial laboratory acceptable
to the Government. The Government reserves the right to perform any of the in-
spections set forth in the specification where such inspections are deemed necessary
to assure supplies and services conform to prescribed requirements.
Classification of inspection - The inspection of the test

equipment shall be classified as follows:
(a) Preproduction inspection
(b) Quality conformance inspection
Preproduction inspection - Preproduction inspection shall
