REQUIREMENTS
3.
3.1 Description. The timer, mounted in the control unit, NAVORD
LD 162545, consists of a 400 Hertz (Hz), 115 volt root mean square
(rms), three phase motor which drives, through appropriate gearing,
six sets of cam-operated switches and two continuous type potentio-
meters.
(a) It controls the sequence and duration of application of 24 volts
dc to certain torpedo control circuits on a repeat-cycle basis.
(b) It amplitude-modulates a 90 volt rms, 400 Hz signal.
(c) It amplitude-modulates a l4 volt rms, 400 Hz signal.
All external electrical connections to the timer are made through a
single connector mounted on the timer frame.
3.2 General requirements
3.2.1 Data required. No data is required by this specification (other
than reports accompanying samples submitted for preproduction and periodic
