3.3.1.4.2 AC circuits. The motor and the 0 to 90 volt potentiometer
154 shall be capable of withstanding 1000 volts rms, 60 Hz between their
terminals, P152-1 through P152-7 (inclusive), and the timer chassis, with
all 0 to 14 volt potentiometer and switch terminals, P152-9 through
P152-22 (inclusive), grounded to the chassis. The test voltage shall
start at zero volts, be raised to 1000 volts rms within 20 seconds, and
then maintained for one minute.  No arcing or breakdown of insulation
shall occur.
3.3.1.4.3 Insulation resistance.  Insulation resistance at 500 volts
dc minimum shall. be 50 megohms minimum between all terminals of the con-
nector and the timer chassis and all terminals of the connector and its
shell.
3.3.1.5 Operating time. The timer shall be capable of operating for
45 minutes plus or minus 5 minutes, followed by sufficient time to cool
to ambient temperature.
