3. REQUIREMENTSS
3.1 Description. The transducer is a pressure-sensitive device which
produces a voltage output proportional to the external pressure applied
to the unit. The transducer incorporates a pressure-sensitive tube, to
the outside of which are bonded resistive strain wire grids in abridge
network. Variations in pressure cause the grids to expand and stretch,
changing the resistance. Therefore, each change in pressure will cause
a change in voltage output.
