3 . 4 . 5 . 2 The rollers shall possess capability of being removed and
r e i n s t a l l e d with standard or commercial hand tools.
3 . 4 . 5 . 3 The munition chock face shall possess the capability of
being replaced in not more than ten minutes by one man.
3 . 5 F i r s t a r t i c l e . T h e first two units, r e p r e s e n t a t i v e o f t h e
p r o d u c t i o n t r a i l e r , s h a l l be submitted for testing prior to regular
production.
4. QUALITY ASSURANCE PROVISIONS
4.1 Responsibility for inspection. Unless othewise specified in
t h e contract or purchase order, t h e s u p p l i e r i s r e s p o n s i b l e f o r t h e
p e r f o r m a n c e of all inspection requirements as specified herein.
E x c e p t as otherwise specified in the contract or order, the supplier
m a y use his own or any other facilities suitable for the performance
o f the inspection requirements specified herein unless disapproved
by the government. T h e government reserves the right to perform any
o f the inspections set forth in this specification where such
i n s p e c t i o n s are deemed necessary to assure s u p p l i e s and services
c o n f o r m to prescribed requirements.
4 . 1 . 1 D e f i n i t i o n s . Reference may be made to MIL-STD-109 to define
i n s p e c t i o n terms used herein.
4 . 2 Preproduction sample.
4 . 2 . 1 Inspection to be performed. The assemblies and components
shall be inspected for all inspections specified in 4.2.3 of this
s p e c i f i c a t i o n and all additional requirements of the applicable
d r a w i n g s . A l l tests shall be performed as specified in 4.6.
4 . 2 . 2 Submission of product. At the time the completed item of
p r o d u c t is submitted to the Government for acceptance the contractor
s h a l l supply the following information accompanied by a certificate
w h i c h attests that the information provided is correct and applicable
t o the product being submitted:
a. A statement that the item complies with all quality assurance
p r o v i s i o n s of the approved current written description of t h e system.
b.
N u m b e r of items of product inspected.
c.
R e s u l t s obtained for all inspection performed.
d. D r a w i n g , specification number and date, together with an
" i d e n t i f i c a t i o n and date of changes.
