2.2 Other publications. The following document(s) form a part of this specification to the
extent specified herein. The issues of the documents which are indicated as DoD adopted shall be
the issue listed in the current DoDISS and the supplement thereto, if applicable.

2.3 Order of precedence. In the event of a conflict between the text of this specification and
the references cited herein, the text of this specification shall take precedence.
3. REQUIREMENTS
3.1 Description. This specification covers a truck-mounted, mobile concrete mixing plant
capable of transporting unproportioned and unmixed materials for producing 8 cubic yards of
mixed concrete. The mixer shall be mounted on a commercial truck chassis as specified herein
(see 5.4). The mixer shall be complete with all components furnished as standard equipment that
are customarily offered with a mixer of this type whether stipulated herein or not, together with
such attachments as may be necessary to enable the mixer to function reliably and efficiently in a
sustained operation. Established component ratings shall not be increased to meet the
requirements of this specification. Overall width of the mixer body shall not exceed 98 inches.
3.1.1 Environmental conditions. The mixer truck shall function and travel as specified herein
under worldwide climatic conditions from 250 F to +1250 F and from sea level to a 5000 foot
altitude. The mixing plant shall function between +320 F through +1250 F.
3.2. First article. Unless otherwise specified (see 6.2), the sample shall be subjected to first
article inspection (see 4.3.1 and 6.3). Any change or deviations of production truck-mounted
mixers from the approved first article during production will be subject to the approval of this
