When specified (see 6.2), in lieu of subparagraph (i), an
air dryer shall be furnished. The air dryer shall be the
desiccant type.
3.4.12 Driver's compartment. Driver's compartment shall be built
as an integral part of the body and shall include the following:

Driver's seat shall be a Bostrum, or equal, hydraulic seat,
adjustable fore and aft, and for height. The seat shall be
positioned for convenience and safe operation of all controls
by the driver.
An upholstered, tilt passenger seat shall be provided.

Driver's and passenger's seats shall be equipped with
retracting seat belts and fold-down arm rests.
An upholstered seat shall be provided on the top of the engine
(d)
cover.

The color of the upholstery and the interior shall be

compatible. White upholstery shall not be furnished.

Driver's area floor shall be covered with ribbed rubber
matting.
Two storage cabinets shall be installed above the windshield

and shall include a center-mounted, battery operated clock.
Cabinet doors shall be provided with positive closing latches.
The base of the storage cabinets and the top section of the
instrument panel shall be padded and upholstered with heavy
duty vinyl.
Two 12-volt dome lights shall be installed in the ceiling and

shall be provided with individual switch controls.
A hinged door shall be provided on the driver's side, shall
(i)
include a vertical sliding window and shall be equipped with a
lock.
A safety grab rail and recessed steps of safety treadplate
(j)
shall be provided to facilitate entrance and exit of the
driver.
(k)
A ventilating window shall be provided on the passenger side.
