4.4.4 Disassembly  and  inspection  (First  Article  Only).
conclusion of all first article tests, the motor shall be
disassembled and inspected for excessive wear and defects as follows:

Damage, excessive grooving,
thrown solder, burned segments
e.
Brushes
Excessive wear, broken leads

Cracks, breaks, burned areas

Brush springs
Damage or cracks
h.
Armature
Broken wires, damaged wires,
insulation defects
i. Spacers, washers, seals
Damage or cuts
j. Yoke assembly
Broken or bare wires, stripped
or damaged screw threads,
cracked or broken housing, loose
or broken connector pins,
damaged connector body, loose or
damaged pole shoes, loose,
damaged or burned field windings.
This inspection shall be performed using procedures satisfactory to
the contracting officer. If any motor fails to comply with the
requirements of 4.4.3,it shall be classed defective.
4.4.5 Materials. Verify that materials used are in accordance
with the applicable drawings and specifications.
4.4.6 Assembly. Verify that the assembly of the motor is in
accordance with the applicable drawings and specifications.
4.4.7 Interchangeability testing. The motor shall be subjected
to the interchangeability tests specified herein.
4.4.7.1 Motor assembly. A sample of three motors randomly
selected, shall be tested for interchangeability using the test
method specified in 4.4.7.3. Motors taken for interchangeability
testing shall have been found satisfactory in all other examinations
and tests. The three motors shall comply with the applicable
specification functioning requirements of 4.4.8 and 4.4.9 before and
after the interchange of parts. It shall be the responsibility of
the agency responsible for the test to inform the contracting
officer by letter or other methods satisfactory to the contracting
officer, when selective assembly has become necessary. Statement
shall contain, as a minimum, contractor's name and FSCM, contract
number, parts involved in the selective fit, conditions of parts and
