an enclosure 20 inches by 43 inches by 20 inches.
Four flush-mounted
carrying handles, two on each side, shall be provided. A recessed control
panel on the top surface of the unit shall contain all necessary connections
and controls for operation. Weight, excluding hoses" and coolant, shall not
exceed 400 pounds. The Liquid Cooling- System shall be mounted on the deck
adjacent to the Antenna Support Fixture or at a remote station located no
more than 40 feet distant from the AN/APG-59 Radar Set coolant connections.
3.4.1.6.7.3 Primary Input Power Requirements. - The equipment power
requirements shall be 3-phase, 4-wire, 115/200 Vat, 400 Hz, 1600 VA.
3.4.1.6.7.4 Sea Water Requirements. - The liquid-to-sea water heat ex-
changer shall be capable of the heat transfer specified under performance
with supplied sea water having the following characteristics:
(a) Pressure - Supply pressure shall-be 175 psig maximum.
(b) Temperature - Maximum input temperature shall be 320 C (900F).
.
(c) Flow Rate . Flow rate shall be 5 + 0.5 gpm.
3.4. 1.6.7.5 Noise Level.
The acoustical noise level produced by this
equipment shall not exceed 80 dB (0. 0002 microbar reference) when measured
6 feet from the unit.
3.4.1.6.7.6 Performance. When operating as complete system, the
Liquid Cooling Systerm shall be capable. of removing 10,700 watts of heat
from the coolant fluid and shall provide the following:
(a) Flow Rate - Liquid coolant flow rate shall be 2.7 gpm minimum.
(b) Pressure - The pumping" system shall be capable of producing the
rated flow with an external pressure drop of 135 psi maximum from supply to
return connections with a pressure at the return connector which shall not
exceed 35 psig. The supply pressure shall not exceed 225 psig under all flow
.
conditions.
(c) Temperature - The output temperature shall be maintained to 52
+ 5. 5 C ( 125 + 10 F) except when the inlet fluid temperature shall fall below
49 C (120 F).
