3.5.2.1 Test set console functions.
The general functions of the test set
console shall be as follows:
a.
Controls all test stand and weapon functions by remote command
signals.
b.
Indicates the weapon conditions and the test stand functions.
c.
Provides measurement and visual display of the weapon video output
by the use of an oscilloscope, and provides for a check of
resolution and shades of gray on the television monitor.
d.
Measures the generated torque at each of the four fin servo shafts,
and displays the results as a GO/NO-GO indication with selectable
numerical readout.
3.5.3 Stand, Test, Guided Weapon MT-3707C/DSM-74. The Test Stand, Guided
Weapon MT-3707C/DSM-74, hereafter referred to as the test stand, shall be
manufactured in accordance with DL 132AS500, and shall meet all of the
requirements stated therein and in 3.5.3.1.
3.5.3.1 Test stand functions.
The functions of the test stand shall be as
follows:
a.
Provides the necessary supports to mount the weapon under test.
b.
Provides electromechanical drive for the ram air turbine (RAT)
generator of the weapon under test by use of a 10 horse power (H.P.)
synchrogear motor.
c.
Provides 20-degree counterclockwise roll for non-data link and 45-
degree counterclockwise roll for Phase I and Phase 11 weapon under
test (as viewed from the RAT drive motor), while mounted on the test
stand.
d.
Provides a simulated target display to the seeker of the weapon
under test and controls the positioning of the target simulator.
e.
Converts the mechanical torque generated at each of the control fin
drive pins of the weapon under test to electrical signals for
display as a GO/NO-GO indication on the test set console.
f.
Provides a common boundary (interface) between the test set console
and the weapon under test.
Provides target line-of-sight angular measurement along both X and Y
g.
axes.
h.
Provides automatic test set shutdown in the event weapon vibration
or servo temperature exceeds allowable levels.
3.5.3.2 Test stand content.
The test stand shall contain the following
assemblies:
a.
Drive (ram air turbine drive motor) syncogen motor.
b.
Weapon support (mounting).
