4.7 Environmental tests.  The test set shall operate as required when
subjected to the tests specified in 4.7.1 through 4.7.7.
The test set shall be tested in accordance
4.7.1 Temperature - altitude.
with MIL-STD-81O  Method 50 4.1, Procedure 1,  including Method 504.1 paragraph
entitled Summary, except the following operating conditions shall be used in
place of table 504.1-11.  Adjustment of video controls shall be allowed.
a. Step la shall be omitted.
b.
Step lb shall be at a temperature of -62C and altitude of 50,000 feet
(16,000 meters).
Step 2 shall be at a temperature of -40C and altitude at standard

ambient.
d.
Step 3 shall be at a temperature of -40C and altitude of 10,000 feet
(3,000 meters).
e. Step 4 shall be omitted.
f.
Step 5 shall be at a temperature of 85C and standard ambient
altitude.
Step 6 shall be at a temperature of 55C and standard ambient

altitude.
h.
Step 7 shall be at a temperature of 71C and altitude of 10,000 feet
(3,000 meters) with an equipment ON-time of 20 minutes.

Step 8 thru 12 shall be omitted.
Step 13 shall be at a temperature of 88C and altitude of 50,000 feet

The equipment shall be non-operating, and shall

4.7.2  Drip-proof.  The test set shall be drip-proof tested in accordance with

MIL-STD-81O  Method 509.1, Procedure 1, Including Method 509.1 paragraph
entitled Summary.
