4.12.1.1 Summary. The following details shall be as specified in the
equipment specifications:
Pretest data required.
a.
Pertinent equipment operation parameters limits (input voltage).
b.
Failure criteria.
c.
4.12.2 Drip-proof. The test set shall be drip-proof tested in accordance with
MIL-STD-108, except the test set shall be inclined only 15 degrees. The test
set shall be operated during and after exposure.
4.12.3 Humidity. The test set shall be humidity tested in accordance with
MIL-STD-810 Method 507.2, Procedure 1, except the maximum temperature shall be
55C.
4.12.4 Salt spray. The test set shall be salt spray tested in accordance with
MIL-STD-810, Method 509.2, Procedure 1.
4.12.5 Explosive-atmosphere. The test set shall be explosive tested in
accordance with MIL-STD-81O, Method 511.2, Procedure 1, except the maximum
temperature and altitude shall be 55C and 10,000 feet, respectively.
4.12.6 Vibration. The test set shall be subjected to vibration tests in
accordance with MIL-T-28800 for Class 2, Style C equipment.
4.12.7 Shock. The test set shall be shock tested in accordance with
MIL-STD-810, Method 516.1, Procedure 1, except the test set shall not be
operated during the test.
4.13 Methods of examination and test. The procuring activity or Government
inspector reserves the right to modify the tests or require any additional
tests deemed necessary to determine compliance with the requirements of this
specification and the contract (see 6.2.2).
