Tolerances plus or minus 0.2 mm (0.008 inch) except as noted.

Surface roughness shall not exceed 3.2 micrometres in accordance with
ANSI B46 1. Remove all burrs and break sharp edges.
Material shall be in accordance with the general specification.

Install vent valve fitting into port using torque wrench.
to 22-27 Newton-Meters (198-243 inch-pounds).
REQUIREMENTS:
Valve shall have a protective cap with secondary sealing provisions that

withstands pressure equal to the proof pressure rating of the valve.
The protective cap shall include a security chain or equivalent to
prevent loss of the cap.

Fluid openings shall be sealed before packaging by the use of caps or
plugs in accordance with MIL-C-5501.
3.
Part number: The part number shall consist of the basic number of this
specification sheet plus a dash number indicating end fitting.
Example:
M24695/1-1 - Valve with .438-20 UNF thread fitting per ANSI B1.1.
M24695/1-2 - Valve with M10X1.0 MM thread fitting per SAE MA2039-05.
