Specification MIL-T-18303 shall be used as a guide for preparation of
test procedures.  When approved test procedures are available from
previous contracts, such procedures will be provided and may be used when
their use is approved by the procuring activity.  However, the right is reserved
by the procurement action to require modification of such procedures, including
additional tests, when deemed necessary.
4.6.1 Environmental Tests - The WDC shall be subjected to environmental
tests in accordance with the environmental test plan and the procedures of
MIL-STD-81O, except as modified herein.
4.6.1.1 Temp erature Shock - The requirements of 3.3.9.1 shall be
verified by subjecting the WDC to temperature shock In accordance with
MIL-STD-810, Method 503, and Table I.
4.6.1.2 Temperature-Altitude - The WDC shall be subjected to the
temperature-altitude test in accordance with MIL-STD-81O, Method 504,
Procedure I for Class 2 equipment as modified by the requirements of
3.3.9.2.  Intermittent operation shall be performed as follows:
(1) Raise chamber temperature to 60C, stabilize
equipment temperature, and operate for 12 minutes.
O
(2) Raise chamber temperature to 80 C and operate for
15 minutes.  The WDC shall be operating during the
transition to 80C.
(3) Repeat test (1)
4.6.1.3 LOW Temp erature Vibration - The requirement of Table I shall
be verified at conditions of -40C, 0.02 g-squared per Hz vibration level,
and test time of 30 minutes.
4.6.1.4 Humidity - The WDC shall be tested in accordance with the test
requirements of MXL-STD-81O, Method 5070 Procedure I, except as modified by
the conditions of Table I, for a minimum 240 hours.  The functional tests
of 4.6.2.7.1 shall be conducted at the completion of the test.
4.6.1.5 Vibration - The WDC shall be subjected to 1 hour of
random vibration, in accordance with MIL-STD-81O, Method 514.1, and as
specified in Figure 2, in each of three orthogonal axes. The WDC shall
be operating during the vibration test.
4.6.1.6 Shock - The WDC shall be tested to the level specified in
3.3.9.5 in accordance with MIL-STD-81O, Method 516.1, Procedure I.
.
4.6.1.7 Gunfire - The WDC shall be tested with simulated gunfire
vibration in both an operating and nonoperating condition in accordance
with the requirements of 3.3.9.11 and MIL-STD-81O, Method 519, Procedure I.
The functional test shall be performed during simulated gunfire vibration.
