3.
REQUIREMENTS
3.1 Description. The components of Accessory Set Mark 1 Mod 1 are
used, individually, with Test Set Mark 127 in performing load, no-load,
continuity and leakage resistance tests on batteries used in underwater
mines. The adapters (see 1.2 (b)) incorporate load resistors and meter
multiplier resistors to adapt Test Set Mark 127 to the particular battery
under test.

3.2 General requirements.
3.2.1 First article sample. Unless otherwise specified in the contract
or order (see 6.2), a first article sample of the accessory set is
required and shall be manufactured using the methods and procedures
proposed for production. The sample shall be tested as specified in
Section 4 for the purpose of determining that, prior to starting production,
the contractor's production methods are capable of producing items that
comply with the technical requirements of the contract (see 4.3.1).
