temperature, the alignment device shall not have been damaged or
adversely affected and shall meet the requirements of 3.9 (see
4.6.2).
Operating temperature.
3.8.2
Unless otherwise specified,
the alignment device shall meet the requirements of 3.9.6.2 while
thermally stabilized at temperatures of +150F (66C) and
-40F (-40C).
Subsequent to return to room temperature,
the alignment device shall not have been damaged or adversely
affected and shall meet the requirements of 3.9 (see 4.6.3).

Case (or a simulated case) shall withstand vibration for 15
minutes each in 3 mutually perpendicular directions.
Vibrations
in each direction shall be at frequencies varied logarithmically

shall be .036 inches at lower frequencies and shall be maintained
at, but not exceed, a 5g level at higher frequencies.
Subsequent
to vibration, the alignment device shall not have been damaged or
adversely affected and shall meet the requirements of 3.8.5 and
3.9 (see 4.6.5.1).
With the alignment device held by
3.8.4.2 Vibration "B".
the upright tube in a horizontal position, the alignment device
shall-be-vibrated in a vertical plane at a constant frequency of
thirty Hz with an amplitude of 1/16 inch (1/8 inch total
excursion) for a period of five minutes plus or minus 15 seconds.
Subsequent to vibration, the Alignment Device shall not have been
damaged or adversely affected and shall meet the requirements of
3.8.5 and 3.9 (see 4.6.5.2).
