MIL-A-5034B
b. Destructive vibration - unlatched and loaded tests.
A 453 kilogram (1,000 pound) store shall be
1.
utilized during the loaded portion of this
test.
4.6.2.3 High-g release. Perform 25 electrical releases by apply-
ing rated voltage (28 VDC) to the parent bomb rack. The adapter hooks
shall sustain a total vertically downward load of 10,676 Newtons (2,400
pounds) (including store weight) during all releases. all releases
shall be conducted with the bomb rack and adapter in a horizontal att-
itude. The adapters shall release satisfactorily each time and without
deformation to any component of the adapter.
4.6.2.4 Life. Perform 500 releases by applying rated voltage
(28 VDC) to the parent bomb rack, using a store weight of 1,622 kilo-
grams (3,575 pounds). Lag time shall be measured on the 1st to 10th and
the 491st to 500th releases. The lag time, as defined in 4.6.2.1 shall
not exceed 0.100 second.
.
4.6.2.5 Shock. The adapters and parent bomb rack shall be
subjected to the following shock tests. The procedures of MIL-T-7743
shall be applicable.
4.6.2.5.1 No load. The adapters and parent bomb rack shall be
tested once in each direction.
4.6.2.5.2 Yield load. A 1,622 kilogram (3,575 pound) store shall
be mounted on the adapters and the test of 4.6.2.5.1 shall be repeated
for each condition shown in Table V.
4.6.2.6 Static load. The adapters and parent bomb rack, utiliz-
ing a rigid simulated store of negligible weight (91 kilograms, 200
pounds maximum) shall be subjected to the loads specified in Table VI.
The loads shall be applied about the center of gravity of the store.
The center of gravity shall be midway between the suspension lugs and
203 millimeters (8 inches) below the hook bearing surface of the suspen-
sion lugs.  upon completion of the tests shown in Table VI, the adapters
are to be tested to the ultimate load of 300,255 Newtons (67,500 pounds),
applied vertically downward.
4.6.2.7 Salt spray. The adapters shall be placed in a salt
spray chamber with the link assemblies in the free position. Upon
completion of the exposure period, the adapters shall be installed on a
parent bomb rack and a 45 kilogram (100 pound) store shall be latched
into the adapter. The adapters shall then be allowed to dry for a mini-
mum of 48 hours. The store shall be electrically released by applying
rated voltage to the parent bomb rack. The lag time, as defined in
4.6.2.1, shall not exceed 0.100 second.
