3. REQUIREMENTS
3.1 M a t e r i a l s and components.
3.1.1 Materials. All materials cited on Drawing 13-12-111 or on subsidiary drawings
shall conform to the specifications listed thereon or to the specific characteristic set forth
on the drawings.
3.1.2 Components. All components of the arming/firing unit shall conform to the speci-
fications and drawings listed on Drawing 13-12-111 and subsidiary drawings.
3.2 Assembly. The arming/firing unit hall be assembled in accordance with Drawing
13-12-111.
3.3 Insulation resistance. The arming/firing unit shall have an insulation resistance of
not less than 10 megohms when tested as specified in 4.4.5.3,
3.4 Continuity. The continuity of the arming/firing unit shall comply with the require-
ments of table I when tested as specified in 4.4.5.1.
3.5 Leakage. The arming/firing unit shall show no evidence of leakage when tested as
specified in 4.4.5 .2.
3.6 First article. Prior to the start of regular production, a first article sample of
arming/firing units shallbe produced (see. 6.2) in accordance with this specification for
examination and tests (see 4.3).
3.7 Workmanship. The arming/firing unit shall be free from contamination (oil, rust,
grease or foreign matter) and damage such as dents, cracks or deformation which could
affect its intended use, and the arming/firing unit shall comply with the workmanship re-
quirements of MIL-STD-454 and MIL-w-63150.
4. QUALITY ASSURANCE PROVISIONS
4.1 Responsibility for inspection. Unless otherwise specified in the contract or pur-
chase order, the contractor is responsible for the performance of all inspection require-
ments (examinations and tests) as specified herein. Except as otherwise specified in the
contract or purchase order, the contractor may use his own or any other facilities suitable
for the performance of the inspection requirements specified herein, unless disapproved by
the Government. The Government reserves the right to perform any of the inspections S et
forth in this specification where SUCh inspections are deemed necessary to ensure supplies
and services conform to prescribed requirements.
4.1.1 Responsibility for compliance. All items shall meet all requirements of sections 3
and 5 The inspection S et forth in this specification shall become a part of the contractor's
