MIL-A-62463B(AT)
4.6.20 Leveling "fill" valve closing and leveling "drain" valve opening, 4L position. To
determine conformance to 3.4.2.3.1 and 3.4.2.3.2 for 4L position, apply the procedures of 4.6.19
with the following exceptions:
- If continuing from 4.6.19, it is not necessary to repeat part b.
- In part c, set cam at 4L position instead of 1R position.
4.6.21 Leveling "fill" valve closing and leveling "drain" valve opening, 1L position. To
determine conformance to 3.4.2.3.1 and 3.4.2.3.2 for 1L position:
a. Remove the plugs from the four ports in face A (ports 2, 3, 11, and 17), and install them
into the four ports of face B.
b. Maintain 0 pressure at port 11 of face A.
c. If not continuing from 4.6.20, apply the procedures of 4.3.4.11 to insure that the wheel
valve is in "sprung" position.
d. Set cam at 1L position (requires full CW rotation; obtain by applying pressure to port 17
of face A).
e. Open port 7A, and plug ports 2, 8, and 14. Apply low pressure to port 9 and SLOWLY
rotate shaft CCW until the level "fill" valve closes (rotation ceases). Measure this
rotation angle.
f. Open port 9 and apply low pressure to port 14 at a very low flow rate to resume SLOW
CCW rotation until the leveling "drain" valve opens (rotation again ceases, and the oil fed
into port 14 comes out port 7A). Measure this rotation angle.
4.6.22 Leveling "fill" valve closing and leveling "drain" valve 4R position. To determine
conformance to 3.4.2.3.1 and 3.4.2.3.2 for 4R position, apply the procedures of 4.6.21 with the
following exceptions:
- If continuing from 4.6.21, it is not necessary to repeat part c.
- In part d, set cam at 4R position instead of at 1L position.
4.6.23 Environmental. To determine conformance to 3.4.4, the actuator shall meet all
performance requirements specified in 3.4.4 before during and immediately after exposure to the
environmental conditions specified herein and shall be tested in accordance with the requirements
of MIL-STD-810, method 501.2, procedures I and II and method 502.2, procedures I and II.
