MIL-B-63299A(AR)
4.4.3 Testing.  Testing is described in the First Article and
Quality Conformance Inspection Forms.
4.4.4 Inspection Equipment.  The inspection equipment required
to perform the examinations and tests prescribed is listed or
described in the Paragraph Reference/Inspection Method column in the
forms starting with paragraph 4.4.2.1.  The contractor shall submit
for approval inspection equipment designs in accordance with the
terms of the contract.  See Section 6 of MIL-A-48078 and 6.3 herein.
4.4.5 Test Mine Case Assembly.  A reusable or expendable test
mine case assembly will have the equivalent testing features of a
regular mine case assembly for a Body Assembly but will contain an
inert filler, removable cover (s) and no explosive boosters.  The
test case enclosure for Body Assembly will be used as fixtures for
subjecting lot acceptance sample to environmental conditioning,
launching of mine and subsequent functioning in various modes.  The
Test Mine Case Assembly or Test Fixture shall be reusable if it is
found safely feasible to remove the Body Assemblies from these test
fixtures immediately after they are returned to the conditioning or
functioning chamber but prior to the actuation of the micropiston
actuator.
4.4.6  Launcher for test mines.  The launcher for launch arming
the lot acceptance test sample of Body Assemblies in test mine case
assemblies noted in 4.4.5 shall be a device simulating the M128
Launcher with the following features:
a.  Impart a back spin to the mine assemblies so that they
exit launcher with a back spin of 3075 min. RPM.
b.  Impart an ejection velocity of 65.0 - 6.0 feet per
second and orient the mines so that the mine spin axis will
have an elevation of 43.0 degrees to the horizontal and a
tilt of 20.0 degrees with the vertical.
c.  The launch trajectory height from ground shall be 28 to
38 feet and trajectory distance of 100 to 140 feet.
d.  Initiate the electric battery primer and set the self-
destruct time by inducing either of two preselected voltage
levels in the mine receiver coil circuit at the launcher
exit using the following:  Power Supply, Transmitter, Dwg.
9293021; Transmitter Assembly, Dwg. 9293046; and a 28.0
0.3 VDC supply voltage which is stable under all loading
conditions .
1.  The air gap between the Transmitter Assembly and the
mine as it passes the Transmitter Assembly shall be 0.086
inch max. and the axial offset (misalignment) shall be 0.1
inch max.
