The following other Government documents, drawings and
publications form a part of this specification to the extent
specified herein. Unless otherwise specified, the issues shall be

2.2 Order of precedence.
In the event of a conflict between

REQUIREMENTS

3.3 Recoil amplifier. The recoil amplifier shall comply with
all requirements specified on drawing 9370142, all associated
drawings, and with all requirements specified in the applicable
specifications and standards.
3.4 Assembleability.
The
recoil
amplifier and discriminator
shall readily attach and detach from the M2 Machine g u n .
When
attached, the recoil amplifier and discriminator shall be securely
retained on the M2 Machine gun.
3.5 Functioning.
When assembled to the M2 Machine Gun, the
recoil amplifier and discriminator shall cause the weapon to
function properly. The M2 Machine Gun with attached recoil
amplifier and discriminator shall maintain an average rate of fire
of 450 to 600 shots per minute.
There Shall be no stoppages or
malfunctions directly attributable to the recoil amplifier or
discriminator.
Testing shall be as specified in 4.5.1.
