(k) Whether the repair parts shall be prepared for domestic shipment and
storage or overseas shipment (see 5. 3. 2. 3).
6.2 Qualification. - In the procurement of products requiring qualification, the right is reserved
to reject bids on products that have not been subjected to the required tests and found satisfactory for
inclusion on the Qualified Products List.  The attention of suppliers is called to this requirement, and
ma nufacturers are urged to arrange to have the products that they propose to offer to the Federal
Government, tested for qualification in order that they may be eligible to be awarded contracts or
orders for the products covered by this specification.  Information pertaining to qualification of products
covered by this specification may be obtained from the Chief of the Bureau of Ships, Department of the
Navy, Washington 25, D. C.
6.3 Lubricating oil coolers for submarine applications should be class 1.
6.4 Superseding data. - This specification supersedes that part of Section S49-2 of the General
Specifications for Machinery covering class T compressors.
Patent notice. - When Government drawings, specifications, or other data are used for any purpose
other than in connection with a definitely related Government procurement operation, the United States
Government thereby incurs no responsibility nor any obligation whatsoever; and the fact that the Govern-
ment may have formulated, furnished, or in any way supplied the said drawings, specifications, or other
data is not to be regarded by implication or otherwise as in any manner licensing the holder or any other
person or corporation, or conveying any rights or permission to manufacture, use, or sell any patented
invention that may in any way be related thereto,
