6.7 Equal item. Prior to the use of an "or equal" item, the contractor shall submit the item
with supporting data to the contracting officer for subsequent approval or disapproval by the
responsible military agency.
6.8 Standard samples. Where and how access to standard guide samples may be obtained
should be stated in the invitation for bids.
