3. 7.4.1 Roll Erection and Magnetic Slaving Control
3. 7.4.1.1 ASK-32/A24G-39 Amplifier - An azimuth rate sensor shall be
provided to permit control of roll erection and magnetic slaving during
turns.
Under standard conditions, roll erection and magnetic slating
control shall occur for the following azimuth inputs:
a.
Roll erection and magnetic slaving shall be removed (OFF)
during turns of 60, 30, and 180 per minute within 30, 11, and
8 seconds respectively, and shall be returned (ON) within 18, 26, and 35
seconds, respectively, after the rates have ceased. Erection and slaving
shall remain ON during turns of 3 per minute or less.
b.
Roll erection and magnetic slaving shall be removed (OFF)
within 30 seconds when an input of 30 per minute rate of turn is
superimposed on a 0.8, 1-second period azimuth oscillation.
Erection
and slaving shall remain OFF until the 30 per minute rate of turn has
ceased.
c.
Roll erection and magnetic slaving shall remain ON when the
following azimuth oscillations are imposed:
(1)
0.8 with a 1.0 second period.
(2)
2.0 with an 8.0 second period.
3.7.4.1.2 ASK-44/A24G Amplifier - An azimuth rate sensor shall be
provided to permit control of roll erection and magnetic slaving during
turns.
Under standard conditions, erection and slaving control shall
occur for the following azimuth inputs:
a.
Roll erection and magnetic slaving shall be removed (OFF)
during turns of 24 and +80 per minute within 12 and 4 seconds,
respectively, a n d shall be returned (ON) within 8 and 14 seconds,
respectively, after the rates have ceased. Erection and slaving shall
remain ON during turns of 12 per minute or less.
b.
Roll erection and magnetic slaving shall remain ON when an
azimuth oscillation of 0.80 with 1.0 second period is imposed.
3.7.4.2
Linear Acceleration Control - An internal sensor on the
displacement gyroscope and the associated circuitry shall be provided to
permit control of pitch erection and (as applicable) magnetic slaving
during horizontal fore-aft acceleration.
Control shall occur at a
threshold acceleration of 0.065g, 0.01g, directed along the sensitive
axis of the acceleration sensor. During longitudinal accelerations in
excess of 0.066g, 0.01g, the following shall occur:
