d. Measure ac voltage from connector 3J1-3 to 3J1-2 with the
heading set control depressed and rotated fully ccw.
Voltage shall be 30.5 2Vac.

Reduce applied voltage to 2.5 0.2Vac.
Output voltage from connector 3J1-2 to 3J1-23 (grid)

shall be less than 150 mV when heading set control knob is depressed and
rotated full cw and full ccw.
Timed Automatic Sync Operation - For the compass system
4.6.3.5.1
controller with the timed automatic synchronization circuit specified in
3.8.3.2, make connections and perform the tests as follows:
Apply 26 0.5V, 400 Hz from connector 3J1-3 to 3J1-23.

Apply 28 2Vdc through a resistance of 1,000 5% ohms with

the high side on connector 3J1-1 and the low side on 3Jl-23.
Set the mode selector switch to EMERG and measure the dc

voltage from connector 3J1-1 to 3J1-23.
The voltage shall be greater than 25Vdc.

Rotate mode selector switch from EMERG to SLAVED and begin

timing.
The voltage from connector 3J1-1 to 3J1-23 shall be

less than 2Vac for 10 2 seconds, then shall rise to a value greater than
25Vac.
Rotate mode selector switch to DG.

The voltage shall be greater than 25Vac.

Rotate mode selector switch from DG to SLAVED and begin

timing.
The voltage shall be less than 2Vac for 10 2 seconds,

then shall rise to greater than 25Vac.
Disconnect all test equipment.
