| MIL-C-38418E(AS)
Check the heading indicated by output No's 2, 3, and 4.
Each
d.
indicated heading shall be 0 6'.
Position the displacement gyroscope heading transmitter to
e.
each 30 beginning at 0 and record the indicated heading for output
No. 1.
f.
Determine the point errors by subtracting the displacement
gyroscope heading from the indicated heading at each position.
Calculate the scale error spread by determining the maximum
g.
algebraic difference between the point errors.
The scale error spread
shall not exceed 30 minutes.
h.
Repeat steps e, f, and g for heading output No's 2, 3, 4.
The scale error spread for output No's 2 and 3 shall
(1)
not exceed 30 minutes.
(2)
The scale error
spread for output No. 4 shall not
exceed 36 minutes.
4.6.4.3.1 Reliability and Environmental Test Limits - When the test
specified in 4.6.4.3 is performed during the tests specified in 4.4.1.1
and 4.6.12 through 4.6.24, the indicated heading specified in 4.6.4.3d
shall be 0 9' in lieu of 0 6'.
4.6.4.4 Heading Servo Scale Error, Compensated, Slaved Mode - The
compensated heading servo scale error in the slaved mode shall be checked
as follows:
a.
Set the controls on the controller and the electronic control
amplifier as follows:
Mode switch to SLAVED
Latitude control to O
Hemisphere stitch to N
Compensation switch to ON
b.
Set all compensation potentiometers on the electronic control
amplifier approximate at center position.
Set the simulated magnetic azimuth detector heading to 0
c.
23' in accordance with the first row of the tabulation shown in table
XVIII under step f.
