MIL-C-38418E(AS)
4.6.5.1  Test Connections - All control assembly components shall be
connected in accordance  with figure  6 using the  simulated magnetic
azimuth detector of 4.3.2.5.  Connect a servoed repeater to the heading
outputs at electronic control amplifier connector (2J1), and to the roll
or pitch output at electronic control amplifier connector (2J4) as
required.  Connect 400 Hz input power to the following pins of connector
1J1 on the electronic control amplifier:
Neutral

115V A
to

4.6.5.2 Special Test Conditions - Wait a minimum of 2 1/2 minutes after
application of  power before conducting any test. controls for the
compass system controller and the electronic control amplifier shall be
set as follows except where otherwise noted:
Mode switch to DG
Latitude control to local latitude
Hemisphere switch to local hemisphere
Compensation switch to OFF
4.6.5.3 Test Procedures - Unsatisfactory results that occur in areas not
being  tested at  the  time  shall be  investigated  by performing the

trim adjustment  is performed,  the heading drift rate  test for the
displacement gyroscope shall be repeated-  Azimuth rates greater than
6 per minute may cause removal of roll erection and slaving when
testing a control assembly that uses the ASK-32/A24G-39.  Azimuth rates
greater  than 24 per minute may cause  removal of  roll erection and
slaving  when  testing a control  assembly  that uses the ASK-44/A24G.
Sufficient time (up to 40 seconds maximum for the ASK-32/A24G-39 and up
to 16 seconds for the ASK-44/A24G) shall be allowed to permit the control
assembly to return to normal conditions after such rates cease.  This may
be particularly noticeable when observing the sync indicator pointer on
the compass system controller.
