activities. Simulation testing may be utilized if applicable.
The RAM-D test shall be performed on four
40.1.1 RAM-D Sample
cannon using the methods specified in 40.1.2. When RAM-D testing
is to be performed, the sample shall consist of the two cannon
that completed FA-IPT testing and two additional cannon.
40.1.2 RAM-D Tests
At the completion of FA-IPT testing (see
Appendix A), the RAM-D test shall be performed.
40.1.2.1 Reliability Test . The combined test (tube-wear and
reliability) shall consist of firing 5 sequences, each sequence
consisting of firing 96 rounds from each of 4 cannon. The type
of round fired shall be as specified in Table IV.
40.1.2.2 Cannon reliability demon strat ion. To demonstrate that
the reliability requirement has been satisfied, the tests
specified in Table IV shall be performed without a reliability
failure. Failure scoring criteria for assessing reliability
requirements shall be in accordance with 50.2. If a failure
occurs during testing, the failure analysis procedures outlined
in 40.2 shall apply.

GENERAL NOTES :
a. To demonstrate that the tube wear requirement has been
achieved, the tests specified in Table IV shall be completed
within the tube wear requirement. Failure to do so shall require
the application of the procedures outlined in 40.2.
