3.3.5 Indicators. All indicators (see Drawings 5-19-6907 and 5- 19-6908) on the module
shall light when tested as specified in 4.4.6.6.
3.3.6 Warning system. When tested as specified in 4.4.6.7, the warming system shall function
as follows: The MASK indicator shall flash and the horn shall sound with a pulsating tone be-
tween 0.5 and 1.1 inches water gauge (iwg). The peak horn level shall be at least 68 dB in at least
one octave band between 200 and 5000 Hz. After 15 to 25 seconds, the horn shall silence and
the MASK indicator shall stop flashing and remain ON. The MASK indicator shall go out be-
tween 0.5 and 1.1 iwg.
3.3.7 DC voltage. The dc voltage shall be 30 3 volts between test point 2(+) and test point
5(- ) when tested as specified in 4.4.6.8.
3.3.8 Loss of power. The MASK indicator shall flash and the horn shall sound with a pulsat-
ing tone when the 208 Vac input power is lost when test as specified in 4.4.6.9.
3.4 First article. When specified (see 6.2), a sample shall be subjected to the first article
inspection in accordance with 4.3.
3.5 Workmanship. The control module shall be free horn cracked, bent, or dented metal
sections, sharp edges, and foreign matter (dirt, oil, or viscous materials).
4. QUALITY ASSURANCE PROVISIONS
4.1 Responsibility for inspection. Unless otherwise specified in the contract or purchase
order, the contractor is responsible for the performance of all inspection requirements (exami-
nations and tests) as specified herein. Except as otherwise specified in the contractor purchase
order, the contractor may use his own or any other facilities suitable for the performance of the
inspection requirements specified herein, unless disapproved by the Government. The Govern-
ment reserves the right to perform any of the inspections set forth in this specification where
such inspections are deemed necessary to ensure supplies and services conform to prescribed
requirements.
4.1.1 Responsibility for compliance. All items shall meet all requirements of sections 3 and
5. The inspection set forth in this specification shall become a part of the contractor's overall
inspection system or quality program. The absence of any inspection requirements in the speci-
fication shall not relieve the contractor of the responsibility of ensuring that all products or
