Fill all hydraulic master cylinder systems with
DOT-5 brake fluid (VMRS 53-999-008)
meeting the min. requirements of either
FMVSS No. 116, DOT-5 or MIL-B-46176 for
di-organopolysiloxane fluid (silicones).

Plug - Master Cylinder Filler.
Provide Means to prevent water (during
creekbed traverse) from being sucked into the
master cylinder reservoir thru the filler plug
breathers.
Inverted U-tube breathers, having at least
6-inches of air hose on the open end, as shown
in figure 7 has been acceptable.

Brake Lines.
Hydraulic brake lines per DOT FMVSS for
flex lines and SAE J1047, for steel tubing
lines.
