WORKMANSHIP STANDARDS FOR CAMOUFLAGE SCREEN SUPPORT SYSTEM
10.
SCOPE
10.1 Scope. This appendix covers accepthacn criteria in the manufacture of
camouflage screen support systems to achieve uniformity in appearance and
quality. This appendix is a mandatoru part of the specification. The
information contained herein is intended for compliance.
20. APPLICABLE DOCUMENTS
This section is not applicable to this appendix.
30.
REQUIREMENTS
30.1 Batten spreader.
30.1.1 Batten spreader subtype A and subtype B.
30.1.1.1 Questionable parts. Battenspreaders foung to be of questionable
quality when inspected to the criteria of this standard shall be subjected to
an 80-pound load test (strength test). Successful completion of this test
shall establish their conformance.
30.1.1.2 Critical area. This section of the batten spreder has been
determinecd to be the area most susceptabl4e to failure under load conditions.
Special attention should be givetn to this area whenb parts are examined for
conformance.
