TEST METHOD NO. 4
GROUND CLEARANCE - ANGLES OF APPROACH AND DEPARTURE
1. TEST COURSE:
Level, flat surface.
2. TEST APPARATUS:
a. Linear measurement equipment.
b. Clinometer
3. TEST PROCEDURE:
a. Measure the vertical distance from the surface to the lowest
point on the vehicle, excluding wheels ant tires. This is the
ground clearance.
b. Measure the angle of approach and departure as defined in
3.1.2.5.
