4.5.7 Ballistic testing. The ballistic tests are specified
in Table III. Firing defects are specified in Table IV. Tests
shall be conducted as specified in SCATP-5.56mm (Heavy Bullet).

NOTES:
Failure of the cartrridges in any sample to comply with the
applicable requirements shall be cause for rejection of the
lot subject to testing of a second sample consisting of
double the quantity of cartridges used in the first test for
the temperature or temperatures at which the failure
occurred. The lot shall be rejected if the cartridges in
the second sample fail to comply with the applicable
requirements. Action time, chamber pressure and port
pressure tests shall be conducted simltaneously with velocity
