4.3.4 Examination for defects.  Examination for major and
minor defects shall be performed in accordance with Table I and
4.5.2.  The sample to be examined for major and minor defects
shall be drawn in such a way that it is representative of the
entire quantity submitted.  Non-conforming cartridges shall be
rejected and put aside for further examination.
4.3.5 Rejection.  The qualification sample shall be rejected
if any one of the following occurs:
a.  The qualification sample fails to conform with the
applicable drawings and requirements of Tables I and IV.
b.  The materials and process techniques utilized to
manufacture the sample could not be applied in normal production.
c.  The equipment utilized to manufacture the sample does not
represent the equipment to be used in normal production.
4.3.6  Basis for qualification.
Contractors that meet all of
the qualification requirements will be placed on the qualified
vendor's list.  The vendor shall remain on the list as long as the
same design and materials are used.
