b.  After seven days, remove the tray from the oven
and cool for one hour. Rinse the inert test samples in running
water to remove the detergent. Dry with clean rags or paper
towels.  Coat the surfaces with machinist's dye and wipe with
rags or towels, removing all excess dye from the surfaces.
c.  Examine the surfaces for cracks, splits and
crazing using a 7-power eye loop or magnifying glass.
