NOTES:
The examinations and the class, Major or Minor, shall be as
shown in 4.5.2.1. All 800 cartridges are to be inspected for
both Major and Minor characteristics. The levels of inspection
shown do not apply to First Article Inspection examinations.
Failure of cartridges to meet the applicable requirement shall
be cause for rejection of First Article.
May be performed during function and casualty testing. For
the fouling test an additional 200 rounds must be fired at 20C
without cleaning through each machine gun for a total of 500
rounds fired through each machine gun.
