4.6.2.5.3 Toxic fumes. The cartridges shall be fired in 10
round bursts in the weapon with BFA. The muzzle of the weapon
shall protrude from a 2130mm x 2130mm x 2130mm chamber. The air
within the chamber shall be continuously monitored for carbon
monoxide, ammonia, nitrogen dioxide, and sulfur dioxide. Three
trials of 100 rounds each shall be performed. The test shall be
repeated with Caliber .50 M33 Ball cartridges using the M2 BMG
with the BFA removed.
4.6.3 Safety.
4.6.3.1 Safety hazard classification. The test shall be
conducted by the contractor at a facility of his choosing at his
expense. The Government shall reserve the right to observe all
testing. The tests shall be conducted IAW TB 700-2 with the
