MILITARY SPECIFICATION
CARTRIDGES, EXPLOSIVE BOLT
(For Torpedoes Mk 46 All Mods)
This specification is approved for use by the Naval
Sea Systems Command, Department of the Navy, and is
available for use by all Departments of Agencies of
the Department of Defense.
1.
SCOPE
1.1 Scope. This specification covers two types of electrically initiated
explosive bolt cartridges.
1.2 Classification. The explosive bolt cartridges shall be of the follow-
ing types, as specified (see 6.2):
Explosive Bolt Cartridge Mk 78 Mod O (LD 535751,
(a) Type I.
Dwg 2158784).
Explosive Bolt Cartridge, Dwg 2539121.
(b) Type II.
1.2.1 When requirements herein refer to the ~'cartridge,n the requirements
apply to either the Type I or Type II cartridge. When requirements are perti-
nent to only one type of cartridge, the appropriate cartridge is designated.
2.
APPLICABLE DOCUMENTS
* 2.1 Government documents.
2.1.1 Specifications and standards. Unless otherwise specified (see 6.2),
the following specifications and standards of the issue listed in that issue
of the Department of Defense Index of Specifications and Standards (DODISS)
specified in the solicitation, form a part of this specification to the extent
specified herein.

and any pertinent data which may be of use In improving this
