Examination - The minimum of examinations to be

performed by the supplier for acceptance shall be those set forth
in CD 1448386, Container, Shipping and Storage Mk 309 Mod 0.
5.
PREPARATION FOR DELIVERY
Preservation - Preservation shall be as follows:
5.1
Level A - Not applicable.
5.1.1
Level C - Cleaning, drying and preservation shall
5.1.2
be in accordance with the manufacturer's commercial practice.
5.2
Packing
Level C - All interior pieces and cover latches
5.2.1
shall be tightly secured. Two (2) Containers shall be strapped
to a pallet for shipment, using steel strrapping QQ-S-781, Type I,
Class B.
Marking - In addition to any special marking
5.3
required by the contract or order, Containers shall be marked in
accordance with drawing 1878306 of LD 477259 and Standard
MIL-STD-129.
6.
NOTES
Intended use - A Container supplied under this
6.1
specification is intended for use in the shipment, storage, and
stowage of one (1) set of Wings, Fins, Canards and Pitot Tube
for the AQM-37A Target.
Ordering data - Procurement documents shall
6.2
specify:
(a) Title, number, and date of this specification.
(b) Preproduction sample size, if different
(see 4.3.1).
(c) Activity designated to perform preproduction
testing (see 4.1).
(d) Name and address of activity which will
furnish Government-loaned property (see 3.3).
(e) Preproduction inspection data, if required
(see 3.4 and 4.4).
