3.
REQUIREMENTS
3.1 Description. Cable Tube Door Connector Mk 42 Mod 1 is clyindrically
shaped and mates with the various torpedo control cables. On one side it
mates with Torpedo Control Cable Type "A" (NAVORD LD 162420) and on the
other side it mates with Torpedo Control Cable Type "B" (NAVORD LD 162531).
The connector has 65 hermetically sealed double-ended pin contacts. Molded
insert assemblies are mated to each side of the double-ended pin contacts
and held in place with retaining rings. These molded inserts are removable
for cleaning or replacement.
