MILITARY SPECIFICATION
CONNECTOR KIT, SPLICE, SINGLE WIRE
This speciflcation Is approved for use by the Naval Sea
Systems Command, Department of the Navy, and is available
for use by all Departments and Agencies of the Department
of Defense.
1.
SCOPE
1.1 Scope. This specification establishes the minimum requirements for the
procurement of a single wire splice connector, DL 5545977. The connector joins
the shipboard guidance wire to the torpedo guidance wire and maintains electrical
continuity in seawater to a pressure of 1500 psig. The connector will accept
wire sizes from AWG 25 to AWG 23 and is of one type and class.
