3.4 Functioning. The assembly shall function and comply with
the following requirements.
3.4.1 Premature. The assembly shall not function in less than
three (3) seconds after initiation of the fuse.
3.4.2 Sound level intensity. The assembly shall produce a peak
sound level intensity of 105 decibels minimum (min.).
3.5 Sensitivity. The assembly shall show no evidence of
ignition or detonation when subjected to a weight of not less than
five (5) pounds dropped from a height of two (2) feet, min. when
tested as specified in 4.5.3.
3.6 Jumble test. The assembly shall show no evidence of loose
powder and shall comply with the requirements of MIL-STD-331, Test
102.
3.7 Quick leak test. The packed box sealed in the barrier bag
shall show no evidence of air or water leakage when tested as
specified in 4.5.6.
3.8 First article inspection. This specification makes
provisions for first article Inspection. Requirements for the
submission of first article samples by the contractor shall be as
specified in the contract.

3.9 Workmanship.
and loaded in a thorough, workmanlike manner. They shall be free of
tears, fractures and foreign matter. All required markings shall be
neat and sharply defined. All parts shall be dry.
4. QUALITY ASSURANCE PROVISIONS
4.1 Responsibility for inspection and standard quality
assurance provisions. Unless otherwise specified herein or in the
contract, the provisions of MIL-A-48078 shall apply and are hereby
made a part of this detail specification.
4.2 Classification of inspections. The following types of
inspection shall be conducted on this item:
