ANTI-ICING SYSTEMS. - Anti-icing systems shall be
3.12.5
demonstrated to show satisfactory operation in
accordance with contract requirements.
THERMAL. - The system shall be demonstrated to show
3.12.5.1
compliance with Spec MIL-T-18607.
PNEUMATIC. - The system shall be demonstrated to show
3.12.5.2
compliance with Spec MIL-D-8804.
3.12.6
EXTERNAL MOVABLE EQUIPMENT. - Satisfactory operation
of all movable external equipment items shall. be
demonstrated at the design limits required for the operation of such
items  The time required for operation shall be reported.
LANDING GEAR SYSTEM
3.12.7
RETRACTION AND EXTENSION. - The following operations
3.12.7.1
of the landing gear shall be satisfactorily demon-
strated as applicable:
Retracted and locked within time specified after
(1)
takeoff.
Extended and locked at 50% VL.
(2)
Emergency extension system in autorotative Condition
(3)
Within 1000 feet of altitiude.
BRAKES. - Wheel brakes shall be demonstrated to show
3.12.7.2
compliance with contract requirements.
ACCESSORY EQUIPMENT. - Satisfactory operation of all
3.12.8
accessories aboard or required shall be demonstrated.
WINCHES/HOISTS. - Winches/hoists Shall be operated
3.12.8.1
through at least six cycles at their maximum rated
capacity.  The operation of installed remote controls shall be satisfactorily
demonstrated.
CARGO CARRYING AND HANDLING. - All cargo carrying,
3.12.8.2
handling, and  securing equipment shall be satis-
factorily demonstrated to their respective rated capacities.
SECURING AND TOWING.- Securing and towing provisions
3.12.8.3
shall be satisfactorily demonstrated at the direction
of the NAVPRO.
