MILITARY SPECIFICATION
DISK, COLOR STANDARDS
This specification is approved for use by all Departments and Agencies of the
Department of Defense.
1. SCOPE
1.1 Scope. This specification covers disks for use in comparators conforming to MIL-C-538.
1.2 Classification. The disks shall be of the following types and classes, as specified
(see 6.2):
Type I - pH.
Class 1 Range 3.0 to 4.6.
Class 2 Range 4.4 to 6.0.
Class 3 Range 6.0 to 7.6.
Class 4 Range 7.6 to 9.2.
Class 5 Range 6.8 to 8.4.
Class 6 Range 8.6 to 10.2.
Class 7 Range 3.0 to 7.0.
Class 8 Range 3.0 to 11.0.
