ELECTRON TUBE, RECEIVING
TYPES 5899 AND 6206
This amendment forms a part of MIL-E-1/97M dated 15 January 1979, and is
approved for use by all Departments and Agencies of the Department of Defense.
PAGE 1
Preamble: delete "MIL-E-1" and substitute "MIL-PRF-1". Delete last two lines and substitute:

PAGE 2, 3 and 4
Delete: "Quality conformance inspection" and substitute "Conformance inspection" (5 places). Delete
"AQL (PERCENT DEFECTIVE)" and substitute "Acceptance level (see note 12)". Delete entire
"Inspection level or code" column. Delete entire "Allowable Defectives per Characteristic" columns.
Delete "Total defectives" (2 places).

NOTE 8: Delete last sentence. NOTE 10: Delete and substitute "The life-test sample shall consist of the
lesser of 20 tubes or 10% of lot size, and no failures shall be permitted. In the event of rejection due to
failure, a second sample consisting of the lesser of 20 tubes or 10% of lot size shall be selected from the
lot. Acceptance shall then be based on the second samples, and no failures shall be permitted". NOTE
12: add "12. This specification sheet utilizes an accept on zero defect sampling plan in accordance with
MIL-PRF-1, table III." Change concluding material to correspond as follows:
